Mark Messina has more than 15 years experience in the information technology industry specializing in traditional and broadband media clients. Over the last 10 plus years Mark has consulted in technology strategy and software development to such media giants as MTV Networks, Barnes and Noble (dot.com), CBS/Viacom and the NBA.
He has held positions at Booz Allen and Hamilton in the Information Technology Practice and Price Waterhouse in the Financial Services Industry Practice. While at Booz Allen, Mark was part of a team spearheading early efforts to realize digital movie distribution and projection. He also worked on a project to modernize the global royalties system for a major record label. Mark later founded and ran M2Metrix Corporation which consulted in Web Analytics and developed software and analytical techniques for media websites like MTV.com, VH1.com, Nickelodeon Online and iVillage.
Mark brings many years of experience in entrepreneurship and company building to all of his projects. Most recently Mark worked to develop client relationships and M&A strategy for Agnostic Media, Inc. Mark began his career consulting to start-ups and small business as a research analyst and consultant at the Wharton Small Business Development Center of the Snyder Entrepreneurial Center at the Wharton School of Business. Mark Messina holds a Bachelor and Masters of Engineering in Systems and Telecommunications from the University of Pennsylvania . While pursuing his Masters degree, Mark worked as a research assistant in Artificial Neural Networks which he later applied to modeling attendance behavior for a major theme park. |
